How to Quickly Grow Your Client List in the Next 30 Days
by Heather Eakins
Are you wondering: “How can I get qualified clients fast?”
We have 5 strategies that will help. And they are all about finding out where your audience is hanging out and engaging with them so that you quickly get on their radar. In other words, if you want to be a successful business owner who has a lot of customers, this was written just for you!
Check out your Chamber of Commerce
If Your clients are business owners, a great way to find new clients is by attending local chamber of commerce events. Chances are that it organizes events on a regular basis either in person or via Zoom meetings.
Instead of handing out business cards, consider incentivizing clients to learn more about your services.
For example, you could run a small workshop on “Starting Up: What to consider?”, or a webinar on “How to increase sales by 30% in the next 1 month using…”
Tip: Plan your presentation ahead of time and be prepared for any questions that may arise. It might be helpful to find reputable sources of information and share those with your audience (with your company’s URL in the resource box of course!).
Also, it is a good idea to take pictures at one or more events and share those on social media. Do not forget to mention the event name and location. Consider adding hashtags.
Cold emailing and Cold Calling
One of the best ways to quickly grow your business is to pitch potential business partners you would love to collaborate with even if you do not know them personally.
Sending cold emails can be very effective as long as you have the right marketing strategy and follow a few simple rules. The main idea behind cold emailing is that you do not know the person you are writing to, therefore your goal should be to make your offer sound very appealing in just one paragraph with a short call-to-action (CTA).
Another strategy is to cold call potential clients.
Here’s a simple script you can use when cold calling:
Hi! My name is [your name] and I’m a [your profession] in the [your city] area. I happened to notice that your website could perform 20-30% better.
Is this something you are interested in achieving?
As you probably know, there are thousands of different Facebook groups. The best part? Some of these groups are full of your ideal clients.
By using the search function, you can find groups of people who are interested in what you offer. For example: As a Virtual Tour Provider, you’ll want to find groups where your niche hangs out. Searching for Realtors will bring up a plethora of options.
Choose 3-5 groups and start adding value with your own posts and by commenting on other people’s posts.
You can use Twitter as an additional strategy for gathering new clients.
But rather than posting on the platform, take these steps:
- Search for a keyword in your niche in the “search” function on Twitter.
- When you scroll through the feed, you might find that you have the skills to help them. Bingo! Now all you have to do is engage with them and offer your help.
LinkedIn is the perfect platform for business owners or professionals to find new connections.
When posting on LinkedIn, remember to include helpful or interesting content with the goal of earning engagement from others.
Your Network of People and Businesses
Sending messages or requests for referrals to your current network are great ways to increase your business.
You can say something like this,
“Hey [name], I recently launched my business where I offer [what it is you do]. Do you know of someone who might need my services? If so, I would be grateful if you could share my contact information with them.”
You can send this as a text, email, or direct message on any social. media platform.
Visit Local Businesses
A great way to get your business off the ground is by visiting local businesses. You might find yourself speaking to hundreds of people online, but nothing beats meeting them in person.
For example, start small and visit a local restaurant, coffee shop, or gym to talk with the owners about what you have to offer. You might get one, yes, but your goal should be to make connections with as many people as possible.
If things go well during your visits, be sure to follow up with an email or phone call.
By leveraging these five strategies, you can easily earn the clients that you need to succeed in this industry.
Virtual tours are a great way to help businesses build credibility and trust online that will translate into paying customers.
